About me
Claire Cotterill
Owner and practitioner. One pair of hands, from your first consultation to your review appointment.
I run WEareAesthetics independently, by choice. As a Band 7 NHS Nurse Specialist and Independent Prescriber, I bring my clinical knowledge, experience and passion for patient care to every treatment. When you book with me, you’ll see the same person for your consultation, treatment and review appointment. This continuity allows me to get to know you, understand your individual needs and monitor how your skin responds to each treatment.
My approach to aesthetics is conservative, focusing on natural-looking results that enhance your features rather than change them. I would always prefer to take a gradual approach, reviewing your results and making adjustments where necessary, rather than risk overtreating.
Every appointment begins with a thorough consultation, where we’ll discuss your medical history, concerns and what you’re hoping to achieve. I believe in providing honest, professional advice and setting realistic expectations. If I feel a particular treatment isn't right for you or won't deliver the results you're looking for, I'll always tell you.
My priority is to ensure you feel comfortable, confident and fully informed, with your safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything I do.

What to expect
Before your appointment
Come with a clean face if you can, and bring a list of anything you are taking — including supplements, and anything bought online. If you are unwell, pregnant or breastfeeding, say so when you book rather than on the day.
At the appointment
You will be asked about your medical history and what you are hoping for. Claire will tell you what she can realistically achieve, what it costs, and what the alternatives are. Prescription treatments require this face-to-face assessment by law — it is not a formality, and it cannot be skipped or done over the phone.
Afterwards
You will be given written aftercare for whatever you have had done. If anything worries you in the days that follow, contact the clinic directly rather than waiting for your review — Claire would far rather hear from you early.
If a treatment is not right for you
Some people are not suitable candidates, and some concerns do not respond to the treatment people think they need. You will be told that plainly, and pointed towards something that will work, or towards your GP where that is the right answer.
